Overview As an Experienced Software Developer at AVEVA, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software and cloud-native services for enterprise-scale applications. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to balance performance, reliability, and maintainability, while shaping AI-enabled features using LLMs and RAG techniques. This role centers on Azure-based microservices and modern cloud engineering practices to deliver impactful industrial software. You’ll collaborate across functions to turn complex problems into robust solutions, contributing to AVEVA’s AI-driven, cloud-centric strategy. Compensation / Benefitscompetitive salary 20 vacation days 401(k) with 6% employer matchFSA and supplemental insurancepaid parental leave 3 days paid volunteering Responsibilities Architect and implement scalable software solutions with attention to scale, reliability, and performance Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices Build REST APIs and distributed systems for enterprise use Integrate AI capabilities with LLMs, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Develop on Microsoft Azure and follow cloud-native engineering best practices Deliver software with accurate estimates and on-time delivery Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership and mentoring Contribute to architecture discussions and engineering design reviews Advise on and adopt Dev Ops, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC practices Support product troubleshooting and customer-facing issue resolution Key requirements 5+ years of professional software development experience Proficiency in C#,.NET, C++, or Java Script Experience designing and building microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS or Google Cloud also valuable)Strong SQL and NoSQL database skills Experience with LLMs and AI frameworks, RAG, and AI performance trade-offs Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and Dev Ops practices Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and IaCExcellent communication and collaboration Problem-solving and analytical thinking Mentoring junior developers and leadership PotentialC#,.NETC++, Java Script Microsoft Azure
