Veterinary TechnicianResponsibilities: Obtain a thorough history from pet ownersAssess if a patient is stable and obtain vitals accuratelyAssist veterinarians in routine examinations and proceduresAdminister medications, anesthesia, and monitor patientsCollect and perform in hospital laboratory tests, including bloodworkPrep and maintain sterile technique for procedures and instrumentsPosition pets for radiographs and obtain images with correct technique while following radiation safetyEducate pet owners on diagnosis, care, and post-treatment instructionsCollaborate with fellow team members to provide exceptional patient careContribute to a positive and supportive team environmentRequirements: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred but not requiredExperience working in an urgent care/ specialty hospital preferred but not requiredProficiency in anesthetic drug administration and monitoringExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational abilities and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentCompassion and empathy for pets and their owners
