Position Title: Software Quality Assurance Manager
Department: Software GroupFLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Reno, NV or Menlo Park, CA
Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000
Reports to: Chief Information Officer.
Essential Functions:
- You will be responsible for managing the quality group.
- We are looking for smart, hard-working people that have a passion for quality.
- Specific Responsibilities Include
- This role will initially be part hands on and part management. The person that gets hired will be expected to help build the QA team. Specific activities involve
- Creation of an overall software testing and release strategy
- Managing the day to day testing efforts
- Work closely with product management to understand the expectations for the system
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand the product created
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand the existing unit tests
- Work closely with the IT/DevOps team to understand the deployment model
- Technologies you should be familiar with
- Automated testing environmentJIRAGITHUB/GITLABQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Able to learn new technologies quickly
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- An understanding of software development cycles and release management processes
- Excellent writing skills and willingness to write documentation
- An understanding of software quality metrics and quality process
- Creative problem solver
- Experience in at least one of the technologies listed above in addition to Flutter
