Part-time Civil Engineers are needed to evaluate construction defects and delay claims. Topics include Stormwater, Water and Sewer Systems, Pavements, Geotechnical Issues and many other interesting problems in Civil Engineering design and construction. SFE works throughout the US and has staff in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Indiana, Missouri, West Virginia, Colorado, California, Oregon, and Washington. There are several great teams to be part of, or you can work principally from your current location.
Responsibilities:
Evaluation of engineering documents, construction and quality control activities, existing conditions, and test results to determine the cause of defects and delays in construction. Work includes the planning and supervision of testing and data gathering, the documentation of conditions and the preparation of reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science or Engineering Civil Engineering PE and/or SE License in at least 1 state.20+ years of combined academic/professional experience in your expert subject matter. Expert testimony in depositions and in court is required, so excellent written and verbal communication is critical. Currently, we are seeking Experts located in the Florida, United States. Pay Structure This is a part-time role. Contractors are paid an hourly rate, between $150/hr and $300/hr, based on their qualifications and the nature of the work required.
