About the role

Major engineering company is seeking a Junior Maintenance Planner to be based in Phoenix, AZ for a contract role lasting 11-12 months. Company is assisting on maintenance for a Phoenix area power provider and sites. Maximo or similar software experience preferred. Out of towners can get per diem.
Duties:
  • Create and manage work orders from approvedrequests (WOs and CARs).Plan work packages in line with Maintenance Work Package Procedure.
  • Collaborate with requestors to ensure clarity and accuracy of work order descriptions.
  • Complete environmental checklists and assist in developing environmental work plans.
  • Ensure compliance with NERC CIP regulations for cyber-related systems.
  • Coordinate with storekeepers to verify material availability and accuracy.
  • Conduct backlog reviews in Maximo (CMMS).Address work package criteria including:
  • Energized equipment permits and LOTOHot work and confined space permits
  • Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Pre-Job Briefs (PJB)
  • Risk assessments and environmental reviews
  • Craft labor planning and duration estimatesQA/QC inspection points and engineering supportOEM documentation and special tools
  • Return-to-service and post-maintenance testing plans
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.0–2 years of planning experience (for junior-level roles).Familiarity with Maximo or similar CMMS systems. Utility or power plant experience preferred. Electrical and Instrumentation (I&E) background is a plus.
