Job Description:
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across multiple campuses by providing vital audiological services to a diverse group of learners. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work closely with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, focusing primarily at a home base campus with occasional visits to other sites in the district. You'll collaborate with a dedicated DHH Coordinator and an experienced team, helping students access the services they need to thrive.
Your qualifications and experience:
- Masters in Audiology requiredASHA certification (waiver available for qualifying applicants)
- Valid state license to practice and to fit/repair hearing aids
- Minimum of 5 years experience in school settings or equivalent
- Successful completion of professional exam
- Able to complete all credentialing steps, including fingerprinting and background check
What you'll do:
- Deliver comprehensive audiological testing and support for approximately 50 students district-wide, with weekly scheduling prioritizing those who need services most
- Maintain a regular on-site presence at a primary campus (Mission Academy), providing day-to-day support
- Travel, as needed, to additional campuses or the district's high school for troubleshooting and collaborative work
- Coordinate with itinerant teachers and the DHH Coordinator to optimize service delivery
- Manage, fit, and repair hearing aids according to district and state protocols
- Document and report student progress, ensuring compliance with educational and licensing standards
This contract role offers a consistent 32-hour workweek through the remainder of the school year, allowing you a dynamic schedule within a supportive and student-focused environment.
