Position Summary:
- We're looking for an entry-level Fab Shop Helper to support our skilled craft team in daily fabrication operations. This position is hands-on, fast-paced, and offers opportunities to learn new skills while contributing to the production of high-quality fire protection materials.
- Experience LevelEntryPrimary Responsibilities and DutiesAssist skilled craft workers with setup, preparation, and daily tasks
- Follow instructions from experienced team members and supervisors to support shop operations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Read and understand equipment instructions, safety rules, and warning signage
- Learn to observe equipment and systems to identify potential hazards
- Always prioritize safety in every task
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members
- Ability to safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools
- Willingness to learn and take direction
Requirements:
- Ability to meet all physical requirements, including lifting and repetitive motion
- Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor fabrication environment in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Commitment to following all safety policies and performing additional duties as assigned
