Lecturer of Sociology

Job Summary: Purdue University Northwest’s Department of Behavioral Sciencesinvites applications for a Lecturer of Sociology to begin August 2027. This position requires a PhD in Sociology by the start date. ABDs will be considered. Candidates must be able to performhigh-quality teaching of introduction to sociology and socialproblems as well as be willing to perform service and participatein professional development activities. College teaching experienceis required. Area of primary teaching specialization is open, butthe department has needs in research methods, statistics, race andethnicity, and social inequality. The standard teaching load is theequivalent of five courses (15 credits) per semester.
