POSITION SUMMARY:
The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily flow of components, materials, and finished products throughout the facility. This role ensures accurate inventory management, efficient warehouse operations, on-time shipments, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This person will lead the development of the department while supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations
- Manage the movement, storage, and handling of components, equipment, and finished products.
- Ensure timely receipt and shipment of materials to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Monitor warehouse productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and material traceability programs.
- Verify orders, packing lists, inventory transactions, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and Service teams.
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality management requirements.
- Oversee warehouse equipment, material handling systems, and facility inspections.
- Ensure proper packaging and handling procedures for sensitive data cooling products and components.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, safety, and productivity.
- Train, mentor, and develop warehouse personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
(Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.4+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or manufacturing operations Strong understanding of inventory control systems and warehouse management processes. Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and implement process improvements. Strong attention to detail when handling high-value and data center products. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Experience supporting precision manufacturing, or high-tech manufacturing environments preferred. Preferred Attributes: Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement environments. Knowledge of raw material and finished goods handling Experience with shipping software (UPS/FedEx/Logistics systems).Quality systems experience within regulated manufacturing industries. Inventory management and warehouse optimization programs. This position offers the opportunity to build a logistics operation supporting the production and delivery of advanced thermal management, data center infrastructure, and liquid cooling technology.
