Lead Machinist/Programmer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. As the lead machining, providing technical support and training for other machinists is a large part of the job.2. For the CAM programming side, the responsibilities include processing the job and creating CAM programs for CNC lathes and 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC mills using Siemens NX.3. For the machining side, the responsibilities include setting up the machine, proving the program out, and performing a FAIR. In some cases, the job will be handed off to another machinist and in other cases, the responsibility will be to complete the rest of the job.4. Foster a positive and productive work environment.5. Enforce quality control measures to ensure the parts meet print specifications.6. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Job Requirements: 1. Minimum 5 years of machining experience.2. Minimum of 5 years of programming using CAM software.3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively5.
