About the role
Associate Attorney – Employment Litigation Defense A well-established law firm is looking to add an Employment Litigation Associate to its San Diego team. This is a good opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful hands-on litigation experience and the chance to take on increasing responsibility across a range of employment defense matters.
What You'll Do:
- Handle employment litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy
- Manage written discovery and case preparation
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings
- Work on wage & hour, PAGA, single-plaintiff, and class action matters
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Manage multiple matters and meet deadlines and billable expectations
What We're Looking For:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership and in good standing 2+ years of employment litigation experience
- Experience with wage & hour litigationPAGA, class action, and/or single-plaintiff experience strongly preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while working effectively with a team
