Job Description:
Carson City, NV | Full-Time Temporary Assignment | $20.00-$26.00 per Hour Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Gift Shop Sales Representative to join their team in Carson City. If you enjoy working with people, have a passion for retail, and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service, this could be a great opportunity for you. In this role, you'll help customers find unique gifts and souvenirs, keep the shop organized and well-stocked, and play an important part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for every visitor. This is a temporary, full-time position with an anticipated duration of up to 9 months, depending on business needs.
What You'll Do:
Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner. Provide exceptional customer service and product recommendations. Process sales transactions accurately using cash, credit/debit cards, and gift certificates. Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure products are properly stocked. Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory counts. Answer customer questions and provide product information. Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and inviting. Work collaboratively with team members to support daily store operations. Assist with additional retail and customer service duties as needed.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED.At least 2 years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. A professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system and basic Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to solve problems and respond to customer needs effectively.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain active on the sales floor for extended periods. Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 30 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Comfortable assisting with stocking, inventory management, and merchandise presentation. Schedule & Pay Location: Carson City, NV
