Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments: Work with clients to evaluate their mental health status, identify symptoms, strengths, and necessary interventions tailored to individual needs.
Develop individualized, culturally sensitive treatment plans: Create detailed, family-centered treatment plans that align with client goals, incorporating both individual and family counseling approaches.
Implement trauma-informed services: Use trauma-informed practices in daily therapy sessions to foster a safe therapeutic environment, guiding clients through their healing process.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: Engage actively with colleagues and healthcare providers to ensure seamless service coordination and comprehensive client care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation: Efficiently document client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes as per organizational standards and regulatory compliance.
Manage a designated caseload: Carry an assigned number of clients, ensuring timely and effective care delivery while being responsive to changing program needs.
Provide crisis intervention: Assess crises and provide prompt intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
Additional duties: Embrace flexibility in taking on other responsibilities as assigned by management that contribute to organizational success.
Patient Population / Client FocusIn your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will work with a wide range of clients, including individuals facing emotional, psychological, and social challenges. Our focus is on vulnerable populations who may experience systemic barriers to mental healthcare, including communities of color, individuals from lower-income backgrounds, and those historically marginalized. Your work will help to address health disparities and cultivate positively impactful relationships with clients and their families.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field is required. An active clinical license (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in California is essential; we are unable to accept applicants requiring supervision for licensure.
Attendance: A commitment to maintaining regular and reliable attendance is critical, as it directly influences client care quality and team collaboration.
Preferred Experience:
We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, particularly in working with diverse, vulnerable populations. Experience in outpatient settings or telehealth service delivery is advantageous, as is familiarity with tools and systems necessary for efficient documentation and case management.
