About the role
🔥Title: Technology Team Lead📍Location: Chicago (Hybrid)💵$$$: Up to $200,000 + Bonus + Benefits🔥Client: Elite Commodities Trading Firm Our clients are building technology at the sharp end of global commodities trading - and we’re looking for a senior engineer to help build something new. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for someone who likes difficult problems, moves quickly and wants their work to have a direct impact. You’ll work closely with people across the business, turn real operational problems into great software, and have significant freedom over the technology and how the team develops.
The Role:
Own and evolve a portfolio of internal applications from architecture through production. Set technical direction and make the calls on what to build, improve or retire. Work directly with business teams to understand problems and turn them into elegant, practical solutions. Build and ship production software using Python, Type Script/React and PostgreSQL.Raise the bar on engineering, reliability and operational practices. Help shape the team and bring in the next engineer.
Who You Are:
Strong full-stack engineering experience, particularly with Python, Type Script/React and PostgreSQLStrong Comp Sci fundamentals (degree ideally but not a hard requirement!)A track record of owning software end-to-end The communication skills to work directly with non-technical people and understand what they actually need Technical leadership or mentoring experience is a plus Sound like your next big move?đź“©Apply now or reach out to me directly for a quick confidential chat: hhandelman@hunterbond.com
