About the role

Job Title
Responsibilities: Coordinate material review, analyses, testing, and appropriate personnel to meet project deadlines Review technical and non-technical project related documents Determine injury mechanisms, forces on the body, body motions, and injury potential during recreational activities and accidents by reviewing the scientific literature, analyzing data from injury databases, and conducting engineering calculations, computer simulations, and testing Publish peer-reviewed, technical journal articles and present findings at technical conferences Write reports and prepare presentations to communicate findings to non-technical audiences
Basic Qualifications: Ph. D. in Bioengineering, Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or similar field)Strong knowledge of mechanics, dynamics, and solid mechanics (strength of materials)Excellent written and oral communication skills Capable of working independently and as part of a team At least 2 years of experience conducting technical analyses
Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience using sensors, data acquisition systems, and signal processingMATLAB, R, MADYMOParticipation in outdoor recreation activities (snow sports, water sports, bicycling, climbing, etc.) is a plus
Additional Requirements: Must be available to travel and willing to work extended hours as needed
