About the role

The DC Office of Unified Communications (OUC) needs a Project Coordinator for its In-Building Wireless (IBW)
Program: managing new building applications and compliance for existing buildings, facilitating communication among building owners, the Department of Buildings, and the Fire Marshal, and owning documentation, reporting, and deliverable oversight. 100% onsite in Washington, DC.
What you’ll do: Coordinate and support the In-Building Wireless (IBW) program: communication with building owners, integrators, testing companies, the Department of Buildings, Fire Marshals, and other agenciesTrack program deliverables, monitor and respond to requests, and assign resources; schedule and track OUC commitments and deliverablesEnsure authorizations, acceptance tests, and annual inspections are executed and documented; monitor annual testing deadlines, send reminders, and issue compliance noticesWork with the Fire Marshal Office and DOB to enforce compliance and ensure IBW requirements are met for occupancy permitsProvide monthly program reports with status updates and metrics; review and recommend approval of invoices for BDA monitoring servicesEnsure maintenance of OUC-managed and District-owned bi-directional amplifier (BDA) systems; coordinate testing with radio system managersWhat you needBachelor’s degree in management or related field, or equivalent experience6 to 10 years of project support and coordination, and tracking program progress against a project plan in an enterprise environment6 to 10 years preparing status reports and using workflow-oriented program-management software3 plus years with performance monitoring and quality assurance practices, and operational processes with a well-defined workflow3 plus years coordinating a multi-agency, stakeholder-sponsored program3 plus years developing requirements and scope of work to maintain equipment, and reporting on key performance metrics from information systemsRequired skillsProject and program coordination: tracking deliverables, schedules, resources, and progress against the planCompliance program management: authorizations, acceptance tests, annual inspections, and compliance noticesMulti-agency stakeholder coordination (building owners, DOB, Fire Marshal, integrators, and vendors) Status reporting and KPI reporting using data from information systemsRequirements and scope-of-work development for equipment maintenanceCustomer support, problem-resolution tracking, and troubleshooting coordination
