Infrastructure & Private Equity InvestmentsA growing, highly regarded investment firm is seeking a VP or SVP to join its investment team. The firm invests at the intersection of infrastructure and private equity, partnering with businesses in essential-services and resilience-driven sectors. This is a high-responsibility opportunity for an investor who wants to work closely with senior leadership on live transactions from day one, while building toward sector ownership, origination responsibility, and a long-term path to partnership. Its investment focus includes: Energy transition Water, wastewater, and environmental services Utility and industrial services Marine infrastructure Infrastructure resilience and climate adaptation Other essential-services and infrastructure-adjacent businesses The platform combines infrastructure expertise with an active private-equity approach, including M&A, capital-structure optimization, operational value creation, and strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities: Lead and support the execution of new investments, add-on acquisitions, financings, and exits. Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, returns cases, and downside scenarios. Evaluate investment opportunities through commercial, financial, operational, and strategic diligence. Prepare investment-committee materials and present clear, well-supported recommendations. Work directly with senior Partners, management teams, advisers, lenders, and transaction counterparties. Support portfolio-company value creation, including M&A strategy, capital-structure initiatives, and operational improvement plans. Develop deep expertise in one or more core investment sectors over time. Build relationships with intermediaries, management teams, investors, and industry participants. Contribute to the continued development of the investment platform, investment processes, and market intelligence. Candidates should bring: Strong investing and transaction-execution experience from private equity, infrastructure, energy, industrials, utility services, or related sectors. Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and underwriting capability. A track record of managing complex transactions from initial evaluation through signing and closing. Strong commercial judgment and the ability to operate independently in a lean, high-performing team. Credibility with senior stakeholders, including management teams, advisers, lenders, and co-investors. Interest in active ownership and company building, not solely transaction execution. A collaborative, low-ego style and comfort in an entrepreneurial environment. Clear ambition to develop into a senior investment leader and, ultimately, a partner.
