Role Description: The Elevator Interior Installer and Installation Helper roles are each full-time roles based in North Palm Beach, FL. In this position, the installer will measure, fabricate, and install custom interior components such as wall panels, handrails, ceilings, flooring, and door cladding in elevator cars. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting design plans, preparing materials, performing precision cuts and fittings, and ensuring installations meet safety and quality standards. The role involves working with tools and equipment, coordinating with team members and project managers, and maintaining a clean, organized work area at job sites. The installer will also interact with clients and building representatives as needed, representing Palm Beach Elevator with professionalism and attention to detail. The Installer (lead) will demonstrate prior experience in the industry and be ready to lead a team. The Installation Helper (helper) will demonstrate the basics of the qualifications listed below and a willingness and eagerness to advance to the Installer position.
Qualifications: Experience with interior installation, finish carpentry installation, or other finish work, including measuring, cutting, and fitting panels, trim, and other interior components. Proficiency using hand and power tools safely and accurately, with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, and basic measurements; comfort with using a tape measure, level, and related layout tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unique site conditions while maintaining high quality standards. Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to workplace and jobsite safety guidelines. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with designers, project managers, and other installers. Reliable transportation to the shop every morning (and comfortability driving company vehicles to job sites in the South Florida area) and willingness to work on-site throughout the workweek. Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and work in confined spaces as required for elevator interior installation. Prior experience in elevator interiors, commercial construction, or high-end millwork is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in a related field is not necessary, but will be considered. We look forward to hearing from you!
