Wholesale Delivery Truck Driver

Responsibilities: Operate a box truck safely and professionally while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Complete daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and promptly report any vehicle, safety, or maintenance concerns. Arrive at pickup locations on time, following routes assigned by Sharing Excess coordinators. Load, secure, and transport food donations safely (including use of dollies/hand trucks and other basic moving equipment as needed).Unload product at partner organizations and coordinate drop-off with the on-site point of contact. Weigh, categorize, and record each donation using provided scales and our app. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck and storage areas. Use sound judgment to identify and escalate food quality/safety concerns.

Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Ability to meet all applicable DOT/DMV requirements for operating a commercial vehicle. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Access to a smartphone. Good vision, hearing, and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal communication. Excellent customer service. Time management skills and reliable attendance. Ability to follow rules regarding food safety and preservation. Interest in non-profit/social justice work is strongly preferred.
