Private Branch Exchange (PBX) Technician

Job Duties: Job duties include but are not limited to: Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including: Avaya Systems CM4.0 Perform: Troubleshooting and repair of switch issues Software updates and patching Installation and configuration of switch hardware Daily operation monitoring Support for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment)Utilize company vehicle to travel to remote locations weekly. Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD/Navy standards. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate's degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred)High school diploma or equivalent required. Years of experience:2 years of relevant experience required.5 years relevant experience is preferred. Prior experience within DoD networks highly preferred. Required skills or certifications: IAT Level II (per DoD 8570.01-M)COMPTIA Security+Certification reimbursement will be offered after 30 days of employment Preferred skills or certifications: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) or equivalent Nortel Meridian System Administration or equivalent Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent Key System experience sought: Mitel PanasonicNECIntermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallySECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
