NOW HIRING:
ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER / GCThruway Builders is looking for an experienced, highly organized Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. We are seeking a construction professional who can manage projects from initial estimate through completion, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive construction estimates and bids
- Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and project logistics
- Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Track project costs, change orders, schedules, and profitability
- Conduct site visits and monitor project progress
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and management
- Identify project risks and develop solutions before they impact schedule or budget
- Maintain project documentation and ensure contractual requirements are met
- Help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with construction estimating/project-management software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of project profitability
