Chemist | HPLC
Location: Weston, Florida Shift: AM & PM Shift? We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist I to join a growing pharmaceutical and scientific team in Weston, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist to gain hands-on experience in a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment supporting analytical testing, formulation activities, and pharmaceutical product development. The primary focus of this position is hands-on HPLC testing and analytical laboratory work. The ideal candidate will have approximately 1–2 years of hands-on HPLC experience, along with experience operating other laboratory instrumentation. GMP laboratory experience is strongly preferred, although candidates with recent, strong academic laboratory experience may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities: · Perform laboratory activities involving the analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished pharmaceutical products.· Conduct testing to support product quality, safety, purity, strength, and identity.· Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment.· Prepare reagents, solvents, solutions, and samples for analytical and formulation activities.· Operate analytical laboratory equipment, including HPLC/UPLC and other applicable instrumentation.· Process analytical data, perform routine calculations, and accurately document testing activities in laboratory notebooks and spreadsheets.· Support pharmaceutical manufacturing and product development activities, including sample preparation and blend uniformity testing.· Perform laboratory work in accordance with established cGMP, SOP, safety, and regulatory requirements.· Participate in project team activities and support project timelines and objectives.· Maintain accurate, complete, and timely laboratory documentation.· Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members.
Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.· 1–2 years of hands-on HPLC experience, with additional experience using laboratory and analytical equipment such as UPLC, IR/FTIR, UV-Vis, AA, powder blenders, or similar instrumentation.· Experience with analytical testing, sample preparation, laboratory documentation, and scientific data.· GMP pharmaceutical laboratory experience, or recent strong academic laboratory experience.· Ability to follow cGMP, SOPs, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory guidelines.· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.· Computer proficiency, including spreadsheets and data entry.· Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
