Dental Anesthesiologist (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Focus)

Role: Full-time (4- or 5-day schedule) Dental Anesthesiologist. Scope:

• In-office IV & GA for full-arch implants, third molars, grafting, facial trauma, and select cosmetic procedures.
• Case Mix:80% OMS surgical anesthesia, 20% consults, airway assessments, clinical QA, and staff training.
• Environment:
• Dedicated OR suites, certified anesthesia assistants, paperless charting, full ACLS crash cart, EMR-integrated vitals capture.
• Growth Track:
• Leadership in developing regional anesthesia service line; optional equity in future satellite locations.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations (ASA I–III primarily).Administer IV moderate, deep sedation & GA; manage airways (LMA, nasal/oral intubation).Continuously monitor patients using AAOMS & ASA standards; document anesthesia records for optimal insurance reimbursement. Direct and train DAANCE-certified assistants; champion safety drills & mock codes. Collaborate with surgeon on scheduling efficiencies, case turnover, and post-op pain protocols. Maintain DEA, MO dental, sedation permits, and board certification/recertification.
