Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Inspector will perform dimensional and visual welding inspections of in-process work and finished products to determine compliance with approved drawings and codes. Inspection of incoming materials including, but not limited to, structure steel shapes, pipe, and plate for proper identification, including material specs, grade, heat number, and size.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications
- Read blueprints, plans and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services
- Completion of required reports and documents
- Work within the established Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
- Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Be proficient in the use of hand measuring instruments such as calipers, tapes and micrometers, Welding measuring gauges.
- Identify, document and segregate non-conforming items
- Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner
- Work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/AComputer Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP system a plus
- Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a quality control position within an assembly, manufacturing, or production environment
- Experience with electrical or electromechanical assemblies a plus
- Experience working in ISO or regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
- Essential SkillsGood communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Proactive and results oriented mindset
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Strong capability of using available resources to complete tasks at hand.
- Basic math skills
- Be familiar with weld inspection tools
