Midwest/Central Territory: Advancing the science of transplant care Mesoblast is a leader in allogeneic cellular medicines for inflammatory diseases, and we're dedicated to advancing the science for patients with serious and life-threatening conditions. We're looking for a scientist who will make sure the physicians caring for these patients have accurate, balanced, up-to-date science whenever they need it. Your Territory This field-based role covers the Midwest/Central US, with a focus on Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis, Minneapolis and Denver. You must be based in or within reasonable commuting distance of one of these markets. Chicago is listed as the primary location, but we welcome applicants from all five. You'll be a trusted scientific partner to transplant physicians, hematology and oncology specialists, KOLs and other healthcare professionals across your territory. You'll provide accurate, balanced scientific exchange, build strong external relationships and bring meaningful field insights back into Mesoblast, communicating them effectively across Medical and cross-functional teams to help inform our medical strategy, scientific education and priorities.
What You'll Do:
Build trusted, peer-to-peer scientific relationships with hematology and oncology KOLs, transplant physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals across key Midwest and Central transplant networks Deliver high-quality, non-promotional scientific education on steroid-refractory acute graft-versus-host disease (SR-aGVHD), from early diagnosis through to clinical management Gather field insights that help shape medical strategy and deepen our understanding of patient needs Support company-sponsored clinical trials, including site identification, capability assessment and study awareness Support the Investigator Sponsored Trial (IST) process, from identifying research interests and facilitating proposal submissions to maintaining ongoing scientific communication with investigators, in line with company policy Contribute scientific expertise to payer and managed markets engagements in line with applicable regulations and company policy Uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity and non-promotional engagement, in line with Mesoblast policies and industry codes
What You'll Bring:
An advanced scientific or clinical degree, with PharmD, MD, NP, PA or PhD strongly preferred 4+ years of experience in clinical, pharma or biotech, including a minimum of 2 years as an MSLExperience in rare disease, specialty medicine, hematology/oncology, immunology or a related therapeutic areaA strong track record of building scientific credibility with KOLs and healthcare professionalsA gift for turning complex clinical data into clear, accurate and balanced scientific conversations Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate field insights that shape medical strategy, and the curiosity to keep asking "what are we missing?"A collaborative mindset and confidence working across Medical, Commercial and other functions while maintaining appropriate scientific independence The ability to travel regularly across the full territory (Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Minnesota and Colorado) and nationally, with travel of up to 50% during peak congress and conference periodsA valid driver's license Someone who enjoys the visibility of a lean organization where people work closely together and individual contribution is seen and felt
