Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist II
Location: City, State
Shift: Day (4x10-Hour) - 07:00 AM to 05:00 PMJob Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist II operates and executes nuclear medicine procedures with expert knowledge of all nuclear medicine units. This role encompasses the preparation, execution, and completion of various nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Perform nuclear medicine procedures expertly based on established protocols. Review orders and prepare required materials for procedures. Handle radioactive materials safely while adhering to regulatory compliance. Provide high-quality patient care and support throughout procedures. Rotate between the nuclear medicine diagnostic center and hospital departments, including coverage for weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Required: California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred:
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to perform a variety of nuclear medicine exams in both diagnostic and hospital settings.
  • Capable of effectively rotating between multiple departments as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient interactions.
  • Understanding of operational procedures and safety standards in nuclear medicine.
