Software Engineer

Overview In this Software Engineer role, you will contribute to the development of innovative commercial software and participate in subsystem design, implementation, and testing. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle with global teams, ensuring quality and alignment to requirements. You may lead a small feature or subsystem, promoting reliable engineering practices and knowledge sharing. You’ll tackle integration challenges and stay current with evolving software trends to drive impactful solutions. Compensation / Benefits Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)401kPaid Time off Parental and Caregiver Leave Flexible Work Schedule Responsibilities Document, gather, and refine requirements for features and components Design and implement new or improved subsystems to meet requirements Plan timelines and resource needs, balancing requirements, speed, cost, and reliability Write and maintain code that adheres to design specifications; develop unit tests Lead integration of components to deliver a complete product Contribute to reviews of designs, code, tests, and user documentation Plan and implement test suites and automated tests for functional coverage Identify root causes of anomalies and resolve issues Maintain the integrity of software subsystems and build strong peer relationships Stay informed on technology trends and pursue knowledge of new developments Key requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience Experience with data structures and algorithms Knowledge of object-oriented designs Experience with design patterns Direct experience with C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages Direct experience with the Industrial Automation industry Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Git Lab, Make and Build systems Experience with AI-Enabled Software development tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Claude, Cursor)Experience with scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Power Shell, Java Script)Experience architecting modular software Basic knowledge of testing integrated software products Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)team-oriented mindsetstrong communicationproblem solvingC++C#object-oriented design
