Doxim's next Supervisor, Production (3rd Shift) - Atlanta The Supervisor, Production oversees the day-to-day operations of Doxim's print and mail production environment, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role leads production team members, monitors workflow and quality standards, addresses operational issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The Supervisor, Production collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet client commitments, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities: Oversee day‑to‑day operations within a production area or shift, ensuring quality, accuracy, and on‑time completion of output Assign work, schedule resources, and monitor workflow to meet production commitments and service‑level agreements Provide hands‑on support to team members, stepping in to resolve issues related to equipment, processes, and job prioritization Coach and guide production staff, supporting skill development and reinforcing safe work practices Interview and provide input into hiring decisions; participate in onboarding and training of new team members Provide performance feedback and input into the company's performance management process Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, and work instructions Communicate operational updates, schedule changes, and priorities to the team clearly and consistently Partner with the Manager to identify process improvements, reduce waste, and optimize throughput Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and materials critical to print production and delivery Ensure equipment is used properly, report issues promptly, and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed Support customer communications objectives by ensuring accuracy and consistency of output (print, mail, digital communications, data-driven statements, etc.) Track basic KPIs (e.g., productivity, quality, error rates, rework) and escalate concerns to Manager promptly Perform the following at a PROFICIENT level: Core Skills Analytical and critical thinking Written and oral English communication Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization Ability to handle multiple priorities or tasks Self‑starter and quick learner Detail‑oriented Active listener Ability to collaborate and work autonomously Flexible and adaptable Business Acumen Ability to recognize, motivate, and coach team members Foundational understanding of print production workflows, customer communications, and related quality control processes Ability to act in a confidential manner Readiness to accept challenging assignments Basic conflict resolution Understanding of interconnected upstream and downstream production processes Leadership Acumen Relationship building and influencing skills Ability to direct day‑to‑day tasks and enforce standard procedures Hands‑on leadership with willingness to perform work alongside team Ability to break down operational issues and communicate next steps clearly Education High school diploma required Post‑secondary education (certificate or diploma in print technology, operations, or related field) preferred
Nice to have: General knowledge of HR practices and labor law requirements Print industry certifications (e.g., G7, Lean fundamentals, safety training) Proficient knowledge and experience with: MS Office Production systems and workflow tools used in print and/or customer communications environments Basic HRIS functions (time entry, scheduling) Recommended Years of Experience 2–3 years in print production, mail operations, customer communications, or related domain Prior informal leadership, shift lead, or team lead experience strongly preferred. Travel 0 – 10% Physical Demands. Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 30–40 lbs. as required for production tasks Regular movement within the production facility and occasional equipment interaction Why Doxim?
