Tax Strategy Advisor (Client Development)Wealthrive | Remote | Reports to: Chief Tax Strategist (Richard)
Role Summary:
Wealthrive helps high-income entrepreneurs keep more of what they earn through proactive tax strategy. We're hiring a Tax Strategy Advisor who can take a client from "that sounds interesting" to a fully executed and implemented strategy. You'll own the conversations that turn savings projections into real commitments, then keep each case moving until the strategy is signed, funded, and in place. You don't need to be the most technical person in the room. Our Chief Tax Strategist handles the deep technical work. We need someone who understands our strategies well enough to explain them with confidence, handle objections, and get clients across the finish line.
What You'll Do:
Close and convert• Run follow-up and closing conversations with prospects and clients who've seen a strategy recommendation and savings estimate but haven't committed yet.• Explain how each strategy works, what it costs, what it saves, and what the client needs to do, in plain English a busy business owner can act on.• Handle objections and timing concerns ("let me see where my income lands") and create the right urgency ahead of year-end deadlines.• Communicate the value of working with Wealthrive, including a clear ROI story tied to our fee.• Bring in the Chief Tax Strategist on technical questions and a co-founder on the largest relationships, while staying the client's main point of contact. Drive implementation to completion• Own committed cases until the strategy is actually implemented: paperwork signed, funds sent, and confirmation received from the strategy provider.• Coordinate with the client's CPA, attorney, and other advisors so nothing stalls between "yes" and done.• Work closely with our Client Experience team and tax admin on document collection, scheduling, and deadline tracking for your cases.• Manage timelines, next steps, and accountability across every stakeholder. Own the pipeline• Keep every opportunity current in Hub Spot, our single source of truth, with clear stages for committed, likely to commit, and early-stage prospects.• Forecast realistically. We'd rather you under-promise and over-deliver than carry deals that aren't really moving.• Report weekly on new commitments, completed implementations, and expected revenue. Grow with the business• Work with clients who come in through our technology platform and referral partners, helping move a growing volume of cases from interest to implementation.• Share what you're hearing from clients (common objections, questions, what's closing) with the tax and marketing teams so we keep sharpening how we present strategies.
What We're Looking For:
• 3+ years in consultative, client-facing sales or advisory work with business owners or high-income clients, ideally in tax strategy, financial planning, insurance, or a related field.• A track record of closing high-value engagements and following through until the work is done.• Working knowledge of common business owner tax strategies (Augusta rule, hiring family members, entity structuring, cost segregation, energy credits, charitable planning). You know the rules and how the strategies work, even if you're not citing code sections.• A solutions-oriented mindset. You look for how a strategy can work for a client and know when a real issue needs technical help.• A confident, articulate presence that builds trust quickly with sophisticated entrepreneurs.• Disciplined CRM habits and consistent, persistent follow-up.• High ownership, responsiveness, and comfort in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Nice to Have:
• Experience at a tax strategy firm or platform serving high-income business owners.• Exposure to advanced strategies (renewable energy credits, equipment and leasing strategies, captives, QSBS, etc.).• CPA, EA, CFP, or JD. Helpful, not required.• Experience coordinating with external CPAs and attorneys.• Hub Spot experience. Compensation Base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation tied to the strategies you close and implement.
