Head of Finance

Key Responsibilities: Put in place the financial systems, controls, and reporting rhythm a fast-scaling company needs, largely starting from a blank page. Act as a financial thought partner on pricing, packaging, and other core business model decisions. Build out the finance team over time, bringing on accounting, FP&A, and revenue operations support as scale warrants it. Assess the company's finance systems and vendor relationships, and decide what should stay in-house versus move outside. Own the annual planning process and build a financial plan that ties directly to company strategy. Partner with functional leaders to build, manage, and track budgets against actual spend. Build rolling forecasts and scenario models that inform hiring, go-to-market investment, and product decisions. Deliver clear, recurring financial reporting to the CEO, executive team, and board, including performance, cost structure, and outlook. Partner with People leadership on headcount plans tied to revenue, runway, and hiring pace. Oversee the accounting close process, audit readiness, tax filings, cash management, and AR/AP, whether handled internally or through outside partners.

Qualifications & Experience: 10+ years of experience in finance, ideally spanning FP&A, strategic finance, and operating roles at early-stage, venture-backed companies. Experience building a finance function from scratch inside a fast-scaling startup. Experience operating with an enterprise customer base. A hands-on leader who is proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working at the lowest level of the data. Strong command of core SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, payback, gross margin, cohort analysis) and how to put them into practice. Comfortable with more complex or evolving business models, and eager to help build out the metrics playbook as the business matures. Able to work closely with founders, executives, and cross-functional leaders while maintaining independence and financial discipline. Fundraising experience is a plus as the company approaches its next round. Strong modeling, forecasting, and executive presentation skills. Pragmatic and resourceful, with good judgment about when to stay scrappy and when to build structure.
