Merchandising Specialist

Responsibilities: Support category-based merchandising launches by coordinating product introductions, rollout activities, and store presentation readiness. Investigate and resolve store-level discrepancies involving orders, deliveries, receipts, and related documentation in partnership with category leaders and vendor contacts. Build productive working relationships with suppliers by addressing questions, resolving issues quickly, and helping move opportunities forward. Maintain current and accurate item and vendor records, including pricing, product identifiers, style details, model information, and setup of new SKUs when required. Prepare and process purchase orders for direct vendor programs with close attention to accuracy and timing. Assist visual merchandising efforts by placing and monitoring vendor-specific fixture and display-related orders. Work with suppliers to collect images, samples, and product content needed for promotional and marketing campaigns. Review marketing materials for accuracy and completeness before release to stores or customers. Use reporting tools and Excel-based analysis to support weekly and monthly category performance tracking, and coordinate logistics and materials for annual vendor show planning.

Requirements: Experience in merchandising, inventory support, retail buying, or category management within a retail or consumer products environment. Working knowledge of buying processes, purchase order handling, and product or vendor data maintenance. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas; VBA experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in product details, documentation, and communications. Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and drive timely resolution. Comfortable collaborating with vendors, marketing teams, and store-facing partners in a cross-functional setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and responsive approach. Ability to learn reporting tools and use data to support merchandising decisions and operational follow-up.
