About the role

Gym Supervisor Bring the energy and take the lead as our Gym Supervisor! In this role you'll have the ability to build great relationships with members, keep games and activities running smoothly, and ensure everyone is using equipment safely and confidently. From setting up the gym to supporting leagues and special events and making sure everything wraps up seamlessly you'll be the friendly, reliable presence that keeps the gym fun, safe, and ready for play.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, Oxygen, and YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certifications (preferred). Positive attitude with previous experience working with diverse populations Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment, and strong decision-making skills Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act). Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Key Responsibilities: Create a safe, welcoming gym environment by actively monitoring activity and guiding proper equipment use Build positive, supportive relationships with members and champion the Y's commitment to serving Health Seekers Plan, lead, and participate in engaging programs and provide orientations for all fitness levels Foster and promote an inclusive, equitable environment for all Support branch events and take on additional responsibilities as needed
