Lighting Project Manager

Project Manager, Commercial Lighting (Remote)Monterey Lighting Solutions | Remote, United States | Full-time Do you thrive on making the complex look simple — delivering exceptional customer service while multitasking across multiple lighting projects, all while problem solving and demonstrating your expertise in lighting? If you're nodding yes, keep reading — this could be the opportunity you've been looking for. As a Project Manager at Monterey Lighting Solutions, you'll own large, architectural lighting projects for real estate developers, owners, and the design and construction teams building or renovating multifamily, office, hospitality, and retail space. You'll coordinate pricing, submittals, and delivery from contract through closeout, and you'll be the person who keeps every project on track. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:- Manage multiple commercial lighting projects at once, from contract through closeout- Proactively manage project timelines, flagging risks and obstacles before they become problems- Read plans and specs; perform electrical/lighting takeoffs- Prepare and manage quotes and submittals- Mark up drawings and manage submittal logs- Track project status, pricing, and documentation, including in Procore- Coordinate with lighting agencies, manufacturers, and contractors on pricing, lead times, and delivery- Act as the primary customer contact — resolve issues before they escalate KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE NEEDED: To succeed in this role, you'll be a highly organized problem-solver who can manage several moving projects at once without losing sight of any of them. You stay calm under pressure, communicate constantly, and genuinely care about keeping your customers ahead of surprises. Most importantly, you bring a proactive mindset and real ownership over the projects in your hands. REQUIRED:- Minimum 5 years managing lighting, electrical, or construction projects- Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience)- Ability to read construction plans and accurately perform electrical takeoffs- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Acumatica, Parspec, Countfire, Bluebeam, and Procore preferred- Excellent written and verbal communication in a customer-facing role- A dedicated, professional home office environment with reliable high-speed internet COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:$85,000–$105,000, based on experience. We offer health benefits, 401(k), 15 days PTO, and a profit sharing/bonus plan.
