FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Financial Management Analyst DutiesYou will perform financial management analysis supporting all phases of budget formulation, justification, execution, and financial operations for organizational programs and activities. You will develop and evaluate budget estimates and financial plans to ensure compliance with guidance from the Department of War and Department of the Navy. You will analyze the financial impact of programmatic decisions, monitor obligations to identify risks or variances, and develop solutions to address shortfalls, ensuring a clear audit trail. You will prepare analytical justifications and interpret complex budgetary policies to demonstrate regulatory compliance and support management review. You will conduct financial studies, cost-benefit analyses and evaluation of alternative funding strategies, advise management on resource allocation while ensuring strict compliance with regulations. You will apply accounting, internal control, and financial reporting principles to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of organizational financial information. You will review financial reports and accounting data to identify control deficiencies or discrepancies and determine the appropriate corrective actions required to address audit and compliance vulnerabilities. You will support internal and external audit activities by reconciling financial system data, validating transactions, and providing documentation to certify the effectiveness of funds control processes
