RN - ICU

Key Responsibilities: Assessing and planning patient care based on individual needs. Treating wounds and providing advanced life support as required. Assisting physicians with medical procedures. Monitoring and recording vital signs and other patient data. Ensuring the proper function of medical equipment, including ventilators and monitors. Administering intravenous fluids and medications as necessary. Performing suctioning and other critical interventions. Collaborating with fellow healthcare team members. Responding to life-saving situations following established protocols. Acting as an advocate for patients and their families. Providing education and support to patients and families.

Qualifications: Must possess experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care. Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).Valid registered nurse license from Illinois or a multi-state RN license is required. Willingness to float to long-term acute care (LTAC) units as needed.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a critical care setting. Prior travel nursing experience is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an asset. The role may also involve caring for pre- and post-operative patients, with opportunities for case management and administrative tasks.
