Full-Time or Part-Time AccountantABR is recruiting a FULL-TIME or PART-TIME Accountant Location: Wausau Industry: Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Starting salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year range (based on experience) and full-time employees receive a full benefits package.
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full Cycle Accountant to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and process journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Monitor inventory transactions and assist with manufacturing cost accounting activities
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
  • Process payroll or assist with payroll reconciliation as needed
  • Prepare sales tax filings and assist with other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
  • Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies within accounting procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and internal controls
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, and manufacturing processes preferred
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
