Description:
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with charge nurse experience for a float position requiring a WA or compact RN license. Details Float role covering Med/Surg, Telemetry, ER-boarded, and general acute care patients across the hospital Nurse to patient ratio varies 1:4-6 depending on unit acuity Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PMMay include charge nurse duties on smaller units staffed with 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAs, covering staffing needs, bed flow, and coordination Epic EMR experience required Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
Requirements:
- Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submissionBLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency cardiac response
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and nasal cannula/respiratory care
- Must have US-based clinical experience; Canadian experience alone does not qualify2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for submission
Additional Information:
- Provide direct patient care and, on select units, serve as sole charge RN managing staffing, bed flow, and coordination
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's DayAll RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and location
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
