Location: 100% On-Site (Downtown Baltimore, MD)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)Equipment Requirement: Must bring your own laptop/device for the duration of the contract period

Overview: Join a leading healthcare services administration team as a Functional Analyst. In this role, you will provide critical operational support by reviewing, researching, and validating high-volume claims data. This position is ideal for an analytical professional with solid healthcare sector exposure who enjoys deep-dive data verification and thrives in a structured team environment. This contract features an active intent for permanent conversion, complete with comprehensive initial job training.
Key Responsibilities: Validate and research healthcare claims and appeals data to ensure absolute accuracy. Generate, run, and evaluate operational reports under the guidance of department leadership. Utilize advanced Excel functionalities to log data, build trackers, and review complex spreadsheets. Handle various operational tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment. Coordinate alongside team members to mitigate processing delays tied to migration groups.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a functional analyst, claims analyst, or claims processor. Strong background within the medical or healthcare industry, possessing foundational knowledge of claims management workflows. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including comfort using Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs to analyze datasets. Adobe and Fox-it knowledge/experience is mandatory Minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional data entry experience. Educational Requirement: A completed Bachelor’s degree is required; in the absence of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 additional years of relevant professional work experience is required (6+ years total).
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with medical billing and ICD-10 coding practices. Previous exposure to industry applications such as Luminex and Oracle. Demonstrated background as an adaptable self-starter who works effectively both independently and as part of a cooperative team. Prior experience in the mailroom, scanning documents, etc.
