Gurtz Electric Co. is seeking a highly organized and people-focused HR/Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support both the Human Resources and recruiting functions of the organization. This position plays a key role in attracting, hiring, onboarding, and supporting employees while ensuring personnel records, compliance requirements, and HR processes are maintained accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:· Manage the recruiting process from job posting through candidate selection and onboarding. · Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, qualifications, and hiring priorities. · Prepare and post job advertisements across recruiting platforms. · Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals and networking events.· Attend career fairs, hiring events, trade school events, and community outreach activities to promote employment opportunities. · Review applications, conduct initial candidate screenings, and coordinate interviews. · Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for field and office positions. · Track recruiting metrics, applicant activity, open positions, and hiring progress. · Support daily administrative functions of the Human Resources department. · Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including employment paperwork, orientation scheduling, and pre-employment requirements. · Ensure required employment documentation is completed and maintained in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. · Assist with employee training initiatives and orientation programs. · Maintain confidentiality of employee, candidate, and company information. · Perform other HR and recruiting duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.· Previous experience in Human Resources or an administrative role preferred.· Experience in the construction industry, electrical contracting, or a union environment is a plus.· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.· Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.· Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with employees and management.
