Overnight Maintenance Team Member

Join Giant Eagle as an Overnight Maintenance Team Member and help keep our store safe, clean, and guest-ready. In this role, you’ll perform overnight cleaning, floor care, and light repairs across sales, backroom, and common areas. You’ll operate cleaning equipment, manage trash and recycling, restock supplies, and ensure all spaces meet company and safety standards. Working closely with store leaders and teammates, you’ll support resets and minor maintenance while demonstrating strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to excellent customer service and community-focused values. Perform overnight cleaning, sanitizing, and basic repairs throughout the store, sales floor, restrooms, and backroom areas Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment safely following company and safety guidelines Inspect equipment, fixtures, and store areas; report and address minor maintenance issues promptly Restock supplies, remove trash and cardboard, and maintain safe, clutter-free aisles and exits Follow OSHA, food safety, and store safety procedures, including use of PPE and chemical handling Partner with store leadership to prioritize maintenance tasks before store opening Support merchandising by resetting fixtures, moving displays, and assisting with light setup tasks Complete maintenance logs and checklists accurately and on time Provide friendly assistance to any customers present during overnight hours Uphold Giant Eagle’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest-ready conditions every shift Facility cleaning and sanitation Basic building maintenance Floor care and equipment operation OSHA and safety procedures Chemical handling and PPE use Minor repairs (fixtures, shelving) Stocking and supply management Maintenance logs and checklists Time management and prioritization Customer service in retail Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k OSHA safety training (preferred) Custodial or janitorial certification (preferred) Forklift or pallet jack certification (a plus) CPR/First Aid certification (a plus)
