About LaLa MediaLaLa Media is a social-first creative agency specializing in content creation, social media strategy, and brand development. We work closely with brands to create engaging, culturally relevant content designed specifically for today's social platforms.
The Role:
We are looking for a Long Island-based Social Media Content Creator to help create ongoing short-form content for a popular restaurant chain. This is a hands-on content creation role for someone who understands what performs on TikTok and Instagram and is naturally plugged into social media trends, internet culture, and emerging content formats. You will be provided with a content plan and creative direction from the LaLa Media team, then be responsible for independently capturing the necessary content on-site. The ideal person doesn't need extensive production experience—we're looking for someone who has a strong eye for social content, understands how Reels and TikToks should look and feel, and can confidently execute a content plan without needing constant direction.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to restaurant locations in Islip, Long Island 1–2 times per week to capture content
- Film short-form vertical video for Instagram Reels and TikTokFollow a provided content plan, shot list, and creative direction
- Independently capture all required footage during scheduled content sessions
- Recreate and adapt relevant TikTok and Instagram trends for the restaurant brand
- Capture food, drinks, restaurant atmosphere, staff, lifestyle moments, and trend-based concepts
- Complete basic short-form video editing when needed, including trimming clips, arranging footage, adding text overlays, and working within CapCutStay current on TikTok trends, Instagram trends, trending sounds, memes, and broader social/internet culture
- Communicate with the LaLa Media team to ensure all planned content is captured
- Who We're Looking ForMust be based on Long Island OR able to reliably travel to Islip 1–2 times per week
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and current social media culture
- Comfortable filming high-quality social content on an iPhoneBasic CapCut editing skills
- Able to follow a creative brief/content plan and execute it independently
- Creative eye for angles, framing, movement, food, and lifestyle content
- Reliable, organized, communicative, and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable working in an active restaurant environment
- Previous social media or content creation experience is preferred, but a strong portfolio or personal social presence can also demonstrate experience
