Position Details: FT, permanent Setting: Outpatient and inpatient Äî Level III Trauma facility Call: Scheduled clinical hours plus beeper call Call response time: 20 Äì30 minutes 120-bed department Hospital privileges required EMR: Epic Credentialing timeframe: 90 days Licensing reimbursement available Stroke Certified facility Malpractice insurance provided by hospital BC or BE within 3 years of residency Practice OverviewSeeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to fill an ongoing vacancy at an outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology practice on the Northern California Coast: 16 patients per shift Support staff includes 1 RN, 3 MAs, 2 PA/NPs, and 5 office staff No resident or teaching supervision required No supervision of advanced practice providers required 3 fellowships required Äî GI fellowship required Required Clinical Skills Upper GI endoscopy Äî required Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy Äî required Foreign body removal Äî required Fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) Äî required ERCP diagnostic and therapeutic Äî preferred PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) Äî required Esophageal dilatation/manometry Äî preferred Esophageal manometry interpretation Äî required Small bowel biopsy Äî required Lower GI endoscopy Äî required Flexible sigmoidoscopy Äî required Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision Äî required Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Äî preferred Liver biopsy Äî preferred Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube Äî preferred Required Certifications ACLS Äî required BLS Äî required
