About the role

Forklift Operator This role involves operating stand-up forklifts in a cold storage and freezer environment to safely move, load, and organize frozen dough products. You work primarily on 2nd shift, rotating in and out of a freezer area, and use RF scanners to accurately load trucks and manage inventory.
Responsibilities: Operate stand-up (RC) forklifts safely and efficiently in a cold storage and freezer environment. Load and unload trucks accurately using a forklift and RF scanner. Move, stack, and organize frozen dough products within the warehouse and freezer areas. Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify inventory and orders. Follow all safety procedures while working in a freezer at sub-zero temperatures. Rotate in and out of the freezer approximately every 4045 minutes, taking warming breaks as scheduled. Work assigned 2nd or 3rd shift Monday through Friday and remain available to work every other weekend, with two days off during the week. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling of cold gear and equipment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Essential SkillsProven forklift experience with stand-up / RC forklifts. Demonstrated ability to operate a stand-up forklift safely in a warehouse environment. Ability to work in a freezer environment at approximately -10 degrees while wearing provided cold gear. Capability to load trucks and operate RF scanners for order selection and inventory tracking. Experience as an order selector using forklifts in a warehouse or cold storage setting. Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. 10:30 p.m.) or 3rd shift (10:00 p.m. 6:30 a.m.), Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work every other weekend with two days off during the week. Comfort working in cold conditions and rotating in and out of freezer areas regularly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: Previous stand-up forklift experience in a freezer or cold storage facility. Experience in order selection, warehouse operations, or logistics. Interest in growing into leadership roles within the operation. Strong attention to safety and adherence to standard operating procedures. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.

Work Environment You work in a cold storage and freezer facility that handles frozen dough products. The freezer area operates at sub-zero temperatures, around -10 degrees, while other cold storage areas remain at approximately 32 degrees. All necessary cold gear and overalls are provided, and you rotate in and out of the freezer every 4045 minutes, with 1015 minute breaks to warm up. The role is on 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. 10:30 p.m.) or 3rd shift (10:00 p.m. 6:30 a.m.), Monday through Friday, with required availability for every other weekend and two days off during the week. The facility uses stand-up forklifts and RF scanners, and you work in an industrial warehouse setting focused on safety, consistency, and efficient operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazleton, PA.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
