The United States Air Force Band is looking for a Collaborative Pianist to support ceremonial, educational, and community outreach events in the National Capital Region and beyond. This role is essential for fulfilling the strategic communication goals of the Air Force. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of musical genres, particularly vocal and choral repertoire, classical, chamber music, as well as commercial, pop, and jazz styles on piano and keyboard. Candidates must possess strong sight-reading abilities and be capable of quickly interpreting scores, choral music, lead sheets, and chord charts. Collaboration in a commercial combo setting is also a key requirement. Interested applicants should submit their professional resumes by November 3, 2026, and prepare for an audition that includes specific repertoire requirements. The audition will take place on January 12, 2027, at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. Those selected for the live audition will be contacted by the U.S. Air Force Band Auditions Team. It is important for candidates to verify their eligibility for service in the United States Air Force with a recruiter and meet all accession standards, including medical and fitness requirements.
