Network Engineer (Fortinet)

Key Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and networking policies Design and implement subnetting, VLANs, DNS, trace routes, and port forwarding solutions Conduct firewall policy creation from scratch and resolve access and security issues Support Azure tenant setup, cost analysis, and configuration of hybrid IT environments Collaborate on IT initiatives requiring cross-functional skills (networking, sys admin, cloud)Assist with DNS requests, shared drive access, and internal/external connectivity issues Document network designs, procedures, and perform security best practices reviews

Qualifications: Proven experience with Fortinet firewalls (policy creation, troubleshooting, SD-WAN, IPS, etc.)Strong understanding of networking concepts: subnetting, VLANs, routing, and switching Azure hands-on experience: tenant setup, cost management, VM deployment Background in systems administration (Active Directory, Intune, O365)Passion for continuous learning, side projects, and cross-domain problem solving Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to guide end-to-end issue resolution
