The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience in Civil and/or Commercial Inspection, please no Residential Construction Candidates.Salary: $72,000 - $79,000 annuallyBenefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA, Long-term / Short-term disability, Critical Illness, PTO, Holiday, Accident, Life InsuranceJOB SUMMARY:Graham & Associates is seeking a Construction Inspector to provide field inspection and project oversight for infrastructure and construction projects, including water and wastewater systems, utilities, roads, drainage, and related improvements. The Inspector will monitor contractor activities, verify compliance with plans and specifications, document progress, and communicate project issues to the Project Engineer and project team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.Perform detailed inspections of water construction projects including pipelines, valves, pumps, and treatment facilities to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.Conducts inspections and project oversight for a broad range of construction and maintenance projects, which may include water and wastewater infrastructure, land development, roads, drainage, equipment installation, and other structures and installations.Conduct daily field inspections to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.Monitor contractor workmanship, materials, equipment, manpower, and project progress.Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.Inspect materials and completed work; verify quantities for project documentation and payment applications.Identify and report deficiencies, potential issues, and field changes to the Contractor, Project Engineer, and Supervisor.Prepare accurate daily inspection reports, weekly progress reports, and other required project documentation.Document construction progress and site conditions through photographs and maintain accurate as-built drawings.Assist with project testing, quality control, and acceptance activities.Attend project and construction meetings as needed and communicate effectively with contractors, clients, engineers, and project team members.Perform other related duties as assigned.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School Diploma or GED required.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience, including water/sewer main installation and repairs and roadway construction.Knowledge of construction practices, materials, equipment, plans, specifications, and drawings.Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and identify construction deficiencies.Experience inspecting hydrostatic pressure testing and verifying work complies with project requirements.Ability to perform field measurements, basic quantity calculations, and verify installed quantities.Experience with surveying levels, elevations, grades, and cut/fill measurements.Strong documentation skills, including preparation of daily inspection reports, logs, and project records.Ability to operate standard computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets.Ability to follow and enforce applicable safety policies and procedures.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with contractors, property owners, engineers, and project team members.LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Valid State of Georgia Driver's License requiredState of Georgia Water Distribution System and/or Wastewater Collection System CertificationsGeorgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Level IA Erosion Control CertificationOSHA 10Confined SpaceTrenching and ShoringLACP, PACP and MACP Certifications(Strongly Preferred)Employment Type: Full TimeYears Experience: 5 - 10 yearsSalary: $72,000 - $79,000 AnnualBonus/Commission: No
