About the role

Providing technical and operational expertise in weather radar systems, the part-time Senior Technical Professional - Weather Radar will support research, technical assessments, and operational guidance related to weather radar technologies in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise in weather radar systems, data quality, and operational meteorology Support technical assessments and analyses related to weather radar technologies and environmental observations Develop training materials, reports, and documentation on weather radar observations and applications

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Physical Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field Minimum of 20 years of experience in operational meteorology or related atmospheric programs Demonstrated knowledge of weather radar principles and radar data interpretation Experience evaluating weather radar products and their operational applications Experience developing technical training and customer-facing documentation
