Position Summary:
TheFood Service Worker’s primary responsibility is washing all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, andmaintainingthe kitchen area in a clean and orderly fashion. TheFood Service Workerwillassistin putting away deliveries as assigned by the supervisor. In addition, the Food Service Workerwillassistcooks in preparation, andpossibly aidin the actual cooking of meals when needed. TheFood Service Workermay also be asked toassistin the dining room with serving if a need arises.
Essential Job Functions:
Assistsin thesetup andbreak downofall meals.
Assistsculinary department leadershipinvarious administrative capacities asrequested.
Maintainsthe cleanliness of thedepartment posted cleaning schedules.
Reportsanydamage or problemswith equipmentto the Directorof Culinary Experienceand Maintenance.
Assistsin thepreparation andserving of mealsas directed by supervisor preferences, likes/dislikes, allergiesand diet orders.
Keeps:
Directorof Culinary Experienceinformed of questions, reactions, commentsor problems that may arise.
Assistscook with food preparation and cooking, following recipes andinstructionfromcook.
Helpsserve from steam table line to dining room.
Familiarwith food service disaster plan.

Works in accordance with established safety guidelines; uses proper body mechanics; follows safe work practices; wears appropriate safety gear. Starting pay ranges from $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and market considerations may influence base pay.
Qualifications:
Education High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D., preferred. Training and Experience Previousexperience working in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred. California Food Handler certificate. Knowledge and Abilities Understands the philosophy of quality customer service and customer satisfaction. Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
