About the role

Role: Vice President of Biostatistics at a clinical-stage biopharma focused on overcoming resistance in cancer, primarily in lung and prostate indications.
Responsibilities: develop and lead global biostatistics strategy across all clinical phases, oversee trial design (including adaptive methodologies), manage statistical analysis plans, support regulatory submissions, interpret data for decision-making, and lead interactions with external regulators and data vendors. Provide leadership for late-stage development, especially pivotal Phase 3 trials, and foster organizational capability and high-performance culture.
Requirements: PhD or master's in Biostatistics/Statistics, 15+ years in biotech/pharma R&D, with at least 7 years managing teams, and experience in late-stage oncology development. Proven success in regulatory interactions, NDA submissions, and global guideline knowledge. High Value:oncology (lung/prostate), late-stage trials, regulatory submissions, adaptive designs, global health authority interactions, team leadership, strategic planning. Work Setup:based in San Diego; salary range $320K-$350K; not H-1B eligible.
