Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and provide ICU nursing care for the patient population served on the unit, consistent with unit standards.
Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, interpret data, and respond to changes in status.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage life-support equipment per policy and physician orders.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Document care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC) and ensure compliance with clinical and privacy standards.
Maintain patient safety and quality of care, uphold infection control practices, and respond effectively to emergencies.
Requirements:
- Current California RN license; graduate from an accredited school of nursingACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association) requiredPALS certification within six months of hireEPIC experience required
- Minimum two years ICU experience
- Vaccinations as required by facility policy; medical/religious exemptions may apply
